UX native app NEN
Interaction design improvement on a native application for the NEN
In collaboration with the Marketing & Sales department of the NEN
As part of my learn-internschip course I collaborate with the team Marketing & Sales (NEN) to improve their native application. For this project I communicated a lot with their customers and re-designed part of the application. Within this project I was only responsible for the interaction design segment. The developing was outsourced.
This app gives the user a notification on his device when a new norm document is available. In order to reach the goal I first did a usability research of the application and then I visualized the improvements in Photoshop.
Case:
” Improve the interaction design, navigation and interface design on this app”
Tools:
- Methodic Usability research documentation
- Adobe Photoshop
- Presentation made in Adobe flash
Improvements:
- A clean design differentiation between the read and unread documents;
- Info and menu buttons added;
- The option of save the preview document directly from the application was added;
- An attractive image at the start of the application was added. This reinforces the attractiveness-level on the app. And decreases the loading time of the system’s content.
